Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates to work on our efforts with a Prime for their end customer, a federal agency in Washington, DC.

Position: Senior Windows Server Systems Administrator / iManage Experience - MUST be a US Citizen (should be able to obtain a Pubic Trust)
Location:  on our project with a Prime for a classified federal agency, Washington, DC (Onsite work, no remote work allowed)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Manage and maintain Windows servers in the customer data centers; work directly with customers as required to ensure their needs are met
  • Act as a subject matter expert and primary technical contact for all iManage systems and related processes.
  • Maintain and support related systems to iManage
  • Participate in planning, development, and implementation of upgrades, new modules and related applications.
  • Provide workspace and database administration tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Administration of workspace templates and provisioning rules.
    • Maintenance/troubleshooting of automated matter warehouse creation processes. 
    • General database troubleshooting and maintenance, including creation of SQL scripts to perform application administration tasks. 
    • Manage file imports and exports, including mapping/import of accompanying metadata. 
    • User account management, including troubleshooting automated account creation processes, and name changes.
  • Provide level one support to analysts/engineers in other groups who work with integrated systems          
  • Perform daily health checks and monitoring of servers in all related systems.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, escalating when appropriate to Supervisor.
  • Recognize patterns in reported incidents, diagnose underlying root causes and devise timely and effective resolutions as necessary.
  • Provide level one assistance with Service Desk escalations, including but not limited to general issues such as document check in/checkout issues, document recovery issues, and client configuration/integration problems, escalating to the iManage Support Team when applicable.
  • Work with multiple teams to plan, install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot applicable iManage system upgrades. 
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Document all systems, processes and procedures in a timely, clear and concise manner.
  • Monitor and follow up with customers after resolution of complex technical issues to ensure integrity of solutions.
  • Provide management with project briefings.
  • Work in a rapid paced environment and work independently
  • Maintain the smooth operation of a multi-user computer systems, including coordination with other administrators, customers and engineers
  • Set up administrator and service accounts, tune system performance, install system wide software
  • Interact with users and evaluate vendor products
  • Evaluate hardware and software, with the goal of improving and increasingly automating operations
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
  • Create, maintain, and implement detailed documentation and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Apply security settings and other commercial security best practices
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 5 years of overall related experience with a Windows server environment; or Master’s degree and 3 years overall related experience. Additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Excellent understanding of Windows Servers in design, configuration and the administration of Windows 2008r2 and 2012
  • Remote Desktop Services (Login and Security), including Citrix
  • PowerShell Scripting experience
  • Completing registry backups and modifications
  • Group Policy Management (GPO) and application of Local Security Policies
  • Use of Windows Task Scheduler
  • System (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration
  • System monitoring using installed tools as well as external tools
  • Application of security settings and other commercial security best practices
  • Experience with configuration, troubleshooting and maintaining virtual and cloud environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment
     
Desired Qualifications:
Any DoD active SECRET or Top Secret clearances are highly preferred
