Tools Developer and Systems Administrator/onsite and remote/US Citizenship is required

Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified  candidates to work on our efforts with a Prime for their end customer, a federal agency.
Position: Tools Developer and Systems Administrator- onsite & remote  (US Citizenship is a MUST)
Location: US Courts (Washington, DC, next to Union Station metro) - this role is remote

****This position is a combination of onsite and remote.
Years of Experience: 6-8
Education Requirement:  Bachelor’s degree, preferred but NOT required
Clearance requirement:  U.S. Citizenship is required.
The prospective candidate must have the following hands-on experience in a professional environment.
The role of the “tools developer and systems administrator” is to develop and maintain custom acquisition and post processing tools.  Examples of tools that may be required for development, deployment, or maintenance.
  • Red Team and Digital Forensics and Incident Response experience is a must
  • Tools or scripts that identify “staged” exfiltration points.  Such tools might methodically search for file header information or encrypted contents across file shares or hosts.
  • Development of ZEEK protocol analyzers.
  • Staging and administration of SSL MITM proxies. 
  • Staging, testing, and development of custom Auditd rules and configurations.
  • Rapid ELK stack deployment.  Ingestion of acquired data.
Pre-requisite Experience that is necessary for success in this role:  Implementation level knowledge of network protocols, systems administration experience in a Linux environment, programming experience developing tools and system administration utilities.

Bachelors degree with 6+ years of experience

We provide STD, LTD and one time salary equivalent of life insurance at NO cost to all full time employees. All full time employees or w-2 employees with no benefits will be eligible to participate in company's 401k program after 90 days of employment with a company match of 4%, immediate vesting.  In addition,  all w-2 employees are eligible to be part of company's profit sharing, no employee contributions required. we do 'not' pay for parking and commute and relocation expenses.
