Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst - REMOTE - US Citizen is a MUST

Visual Soft, Inc., is seeking competent professionals for the following position on its long term sub-contract with a Prime in support of the end customer, a federal agency, located near Union Station metro.

The Intel Threat Analyst will collaborate and work with cyber threat analyst teams to support monitoring of security alerts of potential hacker attacks detected by security systems such as:  Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems (NIDS/NIPS, HIDS/HIPS, WIDS), Log Monitoring, File Integrity Monitoring and SIEM. Support the team on determining and classifying the severity of alerts and assessing potential impacts, as well as for report development on potential security incidents. Provide guidance on recommendations for containment and eradication of threats.
  • Threat Intel Platform (TIP) experience – Anomalies, Recorded Futures or other TIP experience
  • Must have worked as a Cyber Threat Intel Analyst in a prior role
  • Splunk ES experience
  • Must have polished oral and written communication skills. Ability to produce products based on the research performed on IOCs in Threat Intel platforms
  • 2 years or more experience with alert analysis in a computer network intrusion/detection environment or similar field is desirable
  • 1-3 years' experience working in an operations environment; or previous SOC/NOC experience
  • Working knowledge of current vulnerabilities and attacks.
  • BS degree with 8+ years of experience, industry certifications
  • Must be a US Citizen and must undergo Public Trust clearance

High School Diploma. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is preferred.

Clearance requirement:  U.S. Citizenship is required (must undergo background investigation and finger printing by the federal agency and successfully pass the preceding to qualify for the position)

Standard Benefits:
 Our standard benefits include: Our standard benefits include 3 weeks of Paid time off (PTO that includes sick leave). Any unused PTO will be issued as a check at the end of an employee's anniversary with us. we also provide 2 floating and 8 public holidays. Floating and holidays expire at the end of every year of service of an employee. An employee has to finish all of your paper work for health and dental in the first 30 days of your employment with us. We provide STD, LTD and one time salary equivalent of life insurance at NO cost to all full time employees. All full time employees or w-2 employees with no benefits will be eligible to participate in company's 401k program after 90 days of employment with a company match of 4%, immediate vesting.  In addition,  all w-2 employees are eligible to be part of company's profit sharing, no employee contributions required.
